| | Bharatpur has a bird sanctuary, it's only a
few square miles but when we visited the sanctuary in mid-October there were
astounding numbers of birds. We were told that we should visit
Bharatpur in February when there would be a hundred times as many birds because
they come back from their migration to build nests, fight and breed. How could the area possibly have
that many birds? It sounded like a lot of guano to us.
