Shamwari

October 30th, 1999

Just finished a couple of days at Shamwari game reserve on the Eastern Cape. We've been chased by elephants, ignored by lions, boxed in by giraffe and pooped on by eagles.

I've not heard the sound of rhinos eating before but it's much like the sound of IBIers chomping on chicken wings in O'Reilley's on a Friday night.

It's pretty hot here, went on a game drive that ended at 9am and I'm sunburnt!
