During our first two weeks in China we encountered nothing but friendly, hard working people and good food (though Chinese three times a day is starting to get monotonous).  Our Yangtze cruise was a blast and now we are in Shanghai.  There's nothing old here.  From our hotel room we can see eleven new skyscrapers under construction and nothing seems to be more than five years old.  A bit depressing really, it must have has some nice landmarks once.
