| | In the late afternoon we walked through the
gates to the grounds around the Taj Mahal and just stopped and stared.
It's the most beautiful building I've ever seen. Pictures just don't do it
justice. We wandered around in almost stunned silence. We went back
at dawn the following day to see it again (I can't believe that I suggested
returning at dawn, I knew that there was such a time as 5:00am but I had always
regarded it as purely theoretical). |
