Mark in a Skirt

Jama Masjid is India's largest mosque and was completed in 1656 by 5,000 laborers after six years of work.  It was the last monument commissioned by the Mogul emperor Shah Jahan.

Signs warn you that to climb the minaret a woman must be escorted by a "responsible" man.  As for the skirt, I was wearing shorts - a no-no for an active mosque - so I wrapped my legs in a length of cloth.
